Das finstere Tal (2014)

Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts kommt ein Fremder namens Greider auf einem Pferd und mit einem Maultier in ein verschlafenes und abgelegenes Alpen-Hochtal. Der Pfad dorthin ist wenig mehr als ein halb verwitterter Fußsteig zwischen Felsen. Um dem kalten Winter zu entfliehen, bittet Greider die verschworene Dorfgemeinschaft um eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Da er ihnen als Gegenleistung ein paar Goldmünzen anbieten kann, bringen sie ihn bei der Witwe Gader und ihrer Tochter Luzi unter, die kurz davor ist, zu heiraten. Nachdem das Dorf über Nacht eingeschneit wird, stirbt einer der Söhne des Dorfpatriarchen bei einem Unfall. Als danach der Patriarchensohn auf unerklärliche Weise das Leben verliert, kommen Zweifel auf, ob es sich um Unfälle handelt. Sofort wird Greider verdächtigt etwas mit den Unfällen zu tun zu haben. Außerdem machen sich Vermutungen breit, dass ein altes, dunkles Geheimnis der Bewohner etwas damit zu tun haben könnte...
